J-line offers a wide variety of services to our customers enabling us remain flexible to meet today's ever changing marketplace.

Communications

All of our units are equipped with Cellular phones and/or Terion Tfleet Mobile Communications.  Tfleet is a state of the art onboard communications product which allows us to communicate with our drivers instantly via computer.  This system also allows us to locate a unit utilizing Global Positioning to within 50' of the exact location.  All of these tools enable us to provide outstanding service to you, our customer.

Some of the freight services we offer are as follows;

Truckload Van

J-Line offers Dry Van service to 34 States in the U.S.  Please view our service map to see our coverage area.  We do have 48 State Common and Contract Authority, but limit  our coverage area to provide better service to our customers.  We utilize both 48' and 53' x 102" wide trailers giving us more flexibility to meet the needs of our customers.  Our service standards are second to none meeting and exceeding our customers requirements consistently.

Dedicated Truckload

J-Line offers this service to customers who may have special needs and want better control over their transportation and inventory levels.  We dedicate equipment and drivers to these accounts and become a full service extension of that customer.  This has been a very special addition to our services offered and we will continue to progress in this area.

Less Than Truckload (LTL)

J-Line is in the process of building an LTL program for our customers as another great service!  Currently we offer specialized LTL service from Central and Eastern PA to points in the Midwest.  In most cases the freight is "left to ride" on the trailer which reduces handling and ensures that the product arrives in excellent condition.

Local Service

J-Line offers a wide variety of services to our customers within 125 miles of Altoona, PA.  Some of these services include spotting trailers, loading and unloading of trailers, as well as pickup and delivery of local shipments.  We have found that these services are of tremendous benefit to our customers.  We have several professional local drivers who are ready to assist our customers.
